Greetings

To all my family and friends, far and near~ thanks for checking out my blog! Mommy and Daddy are trying to keep up with my postings, but keeping up with me takes lots of time. I am growing and changing so much and we never know what a day may hold, but one thing will never change... God's love is unwavering and his providence is undeniable!

My Grand Entrance

Daddy has already introduced me, but I have to tell you about my entrance into this big world. Mommy and Daddy have been telling me about this marathon they ran in December. They tell me I crossed the finish line with them, but they didn't know it and I don't remember. Mommy says I am the reason she didn't reach her time goal, but that she doesn't even care. She's just glad I was there (and I believe her)! These past nine months have been like a marathon, too! Except no running and more fat for Mommy! I was getting ready to make my grand entrance, but Mommy and Daddy didn't know when that would be. The doctor said I was due on August 19. Every day Daddy would ask Mommy, "do you think it would be today?" Mommy asked me if I wanted to come on August 8, because that is my great grandma Grubb's birthday. I said no. Then she asked me if I was going to wait until August 29 which would be my great grandma Shuman's birthday. Again, I said no, I wanted my own day! Because I didn't come when the doctors thought I should, Mommy was afraid they were going to give her medicine to make me come. But I didn't need that, I wanted to pick my own day! Mommy and Daddy went for a short walk on Thursday night, August 23 at about 8:30. But Mommy missed running so much, that she decided to jog on the way home. Actually, it was more of a turtle like trot, believe me I was there! That did it! Mommy's water broke about 10:00 that night. They next morning Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital at about 7:00 am. I made my debut at 1:55 that afternoon! Daddy was right there cheering Mommy on, just like when they finished the marathon together. Mommy did it all with no pain meds! Hello World!
